Springseal

Better known under the name Variseal®, Spring-Seal are U-shaped machined seals that incorporate a V-spring to maintain lip pressure against the sealing surfaces.

Spring-Seal can be manufactured from various materials, selected according to the operating environment and application constraints (Sideflon®, PTFE, PTFE Ekonol®, UHMW PE, etc.).

To avoid product retention in the central cavity of the seal and prevent bacterial growth, it is recommended, for food-processing applications, to fill the seal groove with FDA or 3A Sanitary-grade silicone.
